Materials and care

Created using a labor-intensive process of heat pressing and wax, the Saffiano technique was patented by founder Mario Prada and has been used across the lexicon of the brand’s products ever since. Lustrous and luxurious, Saffiano leather is a traditional leitmotif of Prada, an instantly-recognizable material from our heritage.

Saffiano leather is a calf leather treated with a wax finish, which makes it particularly resistant to a few drops of rain and easy to clean. If the leather gets dirty or wet, gently treat the part with a soft light-colored cloth. Avoid using soap or solvents. We recommend storing this item in its dust bag to preserve its characteristics.
